PACK 102 CAMPING

Our Camping Philosophy

One common thread running through scouting programs is camping...Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts camp. We use camping to begin to teach the boys outdoor survival skills. We also use camping as a means to bring the entire family into the scouting program. Pack 102's camping is usually done as a family. We invite all family members, where appropriate, to attend our camps, including sisters, brothers, parents and grandparents.

We use organized activities to teach the boys, and a limited amount of free "exploring" time to help boys learn on their own.

Pack 102 camping also helps introduce the boys to the skills they will need while camping with Troop 102 as Webelos.

Finally, camping is a great way for Cub Scouts to meet new friends and make memories with their current friends. We encourage each boy to sign up for an Alamo council day camp (which usually takes place the in June at McGimsey Scout Park), and at least one Council overnight camp each year.

Camping Forms and Information

Whenever you are camping, as a Pack or with the Council, each registered adult and scout must have completed a health form who will be attending the event. To download and print a health form, click here:

Annual Health and Medical Record (Part A & C Required for all registered adults and scouts.)
